I’m happy to share that two of my framed silk scarves from the Ruta Textiles collection—Canada Day and Canadian Coins—are part of The Oh Canada! Project at Station Gallery in Whitby. This group exhibition celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Canadian flag and explores identity through art.
This collection was inspired by my journey discovering Canada over the past two decades. Since moving here, I’ve been touched by the beauty and character of this country—from the quiet charm of small towns to the wide skies of the prairies and the rocky coastlines of the Atlantic. These scarves are my way of capturing those impressions—symbols like the beaver, moose, maple syrup, and local memories woven together in silk.
